A couple of weeks ago I was riding on the sidewalk and I got hit by a car going through a pedestrian crosswalk. Having the light I figured I was safe to go and did not exercise the usual caution of slowing down and stopping. I was wrong and I knew I was taking a risk by going up on the sidewalk. Now I am about to get my hand pinned, since I fell on and fractured my right hend. Best of all it was my first day of work and I have no insurance to cover it. -- Ray John Ray, July 2004
